Surrounding

Domaine l’Esprit d’Antan is just five minutes away from Villeneuve-sur-Lot, a medieval fortified town in the heart of the department Lot-et-Garonne, in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

The landscape consists out of gently sloping hills with cypresses, vineyards, fruit trees and sunflowers. There are hundreds of biking and hiking trails.

Do you like good food and drinks? Recommended are the delicious AOC-wines, walnut pies, duck, the local cheeses, the juicy tomatoes from Marmande, and not to mention: the famous plumps from Agen.

A day at/near the water? Canoeing on the Lot is one of the possibilities. Just as visiting one of the many (swim/fishing) lakes nearby, or spend a day at the aquapark in Agen. Do you like golf? There is a beautiful golf course a ten minute drive away.

Lot-et-Garonne

The Lot-et-Garonne mentality is tough, cheerful and opinionated. Rugby, duck and wine are inseparable from the Lot-et-Garonne. And did you know that three musketeers originated here!

Medieval villages like Penne-d’Agenais and Pujols are beautiful and don’t forget to visit the Château of Bonaguil and Château de Duras. Typical bastide architecture can be found in (among other) Monflanquin, Tournon-d’Agenais and Villeréal. Nearby there are interesting musea to visit, even with children. And during summer, one can find a feast almost anywhere: almost every little village has a nice evening market with food, drinks and live entertainment.
